Get Up From Where You Are and Allow the Potter to Mold You "Amen"to that. However, I have heard people talk for just a few minutes and know exactly what they were saying and what they meant. Jeremiah was watching this potter and the Lord began to speak to him. Let the Lord speak to you through this message. Let me share with you some of the truths about the potter's wheel that I believe will encourage your heart. As well as equip you for the spiritual warfare some of us will ultimately find ourselves in. Tired, beaten, weary, confused, and confounded: this is the place that many Christians find themselves in, due to a lack of knowledge about the Potter's wheel. I have interviewed so many brothers and sisters in the Lord, and they speak about how hard it is on them being a Christian, and yet they believe there is nothing that supports God giving us an easy street. Jesus said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, because I have overcome the world." ( John 16 :33) All of us are going to have trials, temptation, and persecutions while in this world. Man that is born of a woman is of few years and they are full of trouble. (Job14:1) The challenge is to pick up the cross and follow the Master and know that because He overcame, we can too! Amen. The reason that many Christians do not understand what is happening in their life is because they don't know where they are on the Potter's wheel. A lack of knowledge makes it hard to live for the Lord. No one can live something they do not understand, Amen! (Hosea 4:6 ) declares: "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge....." You must know whom you are living for! Who is living through you, and all that is available to you through Him. So many are struggling, just barely holding on; while the demons of hell are beating them with the whip of guilt, shame, fear, intimidation, depression, doubt, just to name a few. As long as you allow the devil to whip you, he will. All the devil is looking for is a new trophy to add to his collection. Before the Potter ever puts the clay to the wheel, He baptizes it in water, walks on it, and stomps on it, until it becomes like putty: easy to move and shape. Your heart can't be hard. The Psalmist wrote, "Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." (Psalm 37:4) When we delight ourselves in the Lord and speak the language of faith, we praise God for WHO HE IS, not what He can do for us. Amen. We say," Here I am Lord, do what you want to do, so I can be what you want me to be. " Don't be upset and angry because of the Master's working on you on the Potter's wheel. He has to break up all that hardness that you didn't even know was there. To make it through the Potter's wheel, surrender all of yourself and accept all of Him. Lay down your thinking and your ways: put on the mind of Christ. Take up your cross and "Let" the Master Potter make you all over again. The knowledge you need is in the Bible. As a child of God, you are not alone, be encouraged with the truth. Jesus said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you. "(Hebrews 13:5) Now rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice! Let your requests be made known unto God in your furnace of affliction and again, don't forget to rejoice! Sermon By Mr. Darnell Moore |
