Don't forget grace.

The first thing about Christianity that I loved was grace.

What a contrast there was between the belief system based on works and guilt and the wonderful grace of God.

I found that eternal life was a free gift that was mine because Jesus paid it all on the cross.

In order to have eternal life, my part was to trust Jesus.

I understood that Jesus did it all on the cross.
He took my place and paid my sin debt in full.

I have the gift of eternal life by simply trusting (believing on) Jesus.

Before this I could not be sure of my eternal destiny because I did not know how I would live the rest of my life.

Once I trusted Jesus I knew that I would go to heaven when I died.

This was because salvation was a free gift.

Jesus paid. I trust Him.

End of story.

Do you understand the grace of God?

The word grace means gift. (Undeserved Favor of God.)

How wonderful is the good news that we can have eternal life and heaven as a free gift.

This is the first love.
